The Mission
16-year-old Miki Witt is at the wrong place at the wrong time: He becomes an unwitting witness to a brutal crime when Lebanese gang leader Ahmed Sayed murders an undercover LKA agent right before his eyes. Miki narrowly escapes the killer, who is determined to silence him. To ensure his safety until he can testify, he is placed in a witness protection program.
LKA Chief Decker suspects a leak in his department and assembles a new team to protect Miki and his estranged parents, Nikola Walter and Klaus Witt. He appoints Sarah Brandt, a young officer on her first witness protection assignment, to lead the secret mission. Joining her are the inexperienced Marleen Westermann and the jaded veteran Lobeck, tasked with hiding the family in a secluded estate near Rome.
Tensions quickly mount within the team as Lobeck takes matters into his own hands and openly drinks on duty. Meanwhile, the witness family begins to question Sarah's authority. The danger of their situation becomes painfully clear during a nighttime attack, forcing Sarah to recognize that everyone is at risk and trust is a fragile commodity. With no other options, she must take decisive action to protect them all.
